Too Good for Drugs

Too Good for Drugs is an evidence based curriculum funded by the Mental Health and Recovery Board of Licking and Knox County. This is a universal prevention program designed to:

  • Mitigate risk factors
  • Enhance protective factors related to alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use
  • It introduces and develops social and emotional skills for making healthy choices and building positive friendships

Too Good For Drugs Teaches these 5 things:

  • Goal setting
  • Decision Making
  • Bonding with others
  • Identifying and managing emotions
  • Effective communication

Too Good for Drugs is a 10 week program that can be taught anytime thru the school year. Sessions typically last 45 minutes. A Too Good For Drugs work book is provided for the students to work thru over the 10 week program.

Locally The Freedom Center serves 2nd grade, 3rd grade and 5th grade students in all school districts in Knox County.
